Get involved in the Heart of England Forest BioBlitz . This morning pond survey is led by invertebrate expert, Will Watson
Go pond dipping for diving beetles and dragonfly larvae for this morning session at Noleham and Giddings Wood with Will and our wetland-focused Biodiversity Officer Imogen Rutter.
Find out what we have in our ponds and streams here, how to identify multiple sorts of pond invertebrate and the difference between the different types of invert nymphs and larvae in our ponds. We may even catch a few tadpoles too!
This survey is part of the third annual Heart of England Forest Bioblitz where we will be creating a snapshot of the variety of species found in a specific area of the Forest during a 24 hour period. No previous BioBlitz experience or species knowledge is required to get involved.
Registration for this event is free however we would appreciate it if you would be willing to make a donation to help us to grow the forest and work on creating and maintaining a mosaic of wildlife habitats. This wildlife surveying event is not suitable for dogs to attend.
