An Acorn and Nut Weevil, Curculio sp., on a type of foxtail grass seed head. I almost didn’t photograph this Weevil having seen it early on in the day when I was focused on photographing other types of insects. It wasn’t until I was on the way back to my car that I noticed the Weevil hadn’t moved since earlier in the morning. So I took the opportunity to photograph in its natural habitat and after seeing the final image I’m glad I did!
