Get involved in the Heart of England Forest BioBlitz . This Invertebrate survey is led by Jonathan, Volunteer Manager for the Forest.
Go looking for grasshoppers, crickets, woodlice, and other invertebrates with Forest team members Jonathan and Avery Hill at Noleham Wood. Learn how to ID some of the common woodlice we may come across, the difference between a grasshopper and a cricket, and other invertebrates in the Forest like bumblebees and ladybirds.
This survey is part of the third annual Heart of England Forest Bioblitz where we will be creating a snapshot of the variety of species found in a specific area of the Forest during a 24 hour period. No previous BioBlitz experience or species knowledge is required to get involved.
Registration for this event is free however we would appreciate it if you would be willing to make a donation to help us to grow the forest and work on creating and maintaining a mosaic of wildlife habitats.
