Mini Foresters: BioBlitz 2023

Get involved in the Heart of England Forest BioBlitz – brilliant beetles, interesting insects, brilliant bugs BioBlitz 2023

Mini Foresters is our monthly club for families with children aged 4-11. This month join us to learn more about the invertebrate species in the areas where the hedgerow meets the meadow around Noleham wood. We will learn more about the area and record all we find and then children can chose an invertebrate related art and craft activity. The wider area contains mixed ages of new woodland; hedgerows; ponds, ditches, and streams; and grassland, therefore is likely to have a good range of species.

This invertebrate survey is part of the third annual Heart of England Forest Bioblitz where we will be creating a snapshot of the variety of species found in a specific area of the Forest during a 24 hour period. No previous BioBlitz experience or species knowledge is required to get involved.

This event is chargeable at the usual Mini-Foresters fee.
