Now in its 10th year, Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens hosts an Annual Family Wildlife Day – a celebration of local wildlife. The garden is managed to encourage as much wildlife as possible to live in the garden to give a balanced ecosystem. This includes growing (and selling) many plants that are attractive to pollinators.
This results in a garden that is full of insects and the many animals that feed on them.
On the wildlife day visiting experts share their knowledge and run a range of activities for all the family. Experts on bees, butterflies and dragonflies are planning to join us and they will help you identify the insects in the garden and in the wider locality.
We will also have a bird-ringing demonstration, bat experts, the chance to get up close to reptiles and amphibians plus much more.

Accessibility
We have disabled parking next to the admission hut and wheelchair users can be dropped off closer to the garden entrance. The garden is flat, so most of it is suitable for wheelchairs and we can advise you on the best route to take to avoid a small amount of gravel.
There are plenty of seats throughout the garden. We do not have disabled toilets as there is a small step into the toilet area.
Our staff have been trained to be dementia friendly and we are proud to have been awarded the purple badge.
